Cream Beauty Products to Give You Sunkissed Skin

Summer is my favorite season for beauty. It is the season for coral cheeks and letting my freckles show. And this year, I’m really feeling cream products. As an oily skinned girl, I have traditionally stayed away from cream and liquid makeup because I always believed that would simply slide off my face like cheese falling off a greasy slice of pizza.

I know you need that image in your head. So, you are welcome.

Oh, silly past Lauren. You were so, so wrong. Guess what happens when you invest in a few high-quality pieces of cream makeup? They stay on your face. It’s a crazy concept but there it is. I promise, they make all the difference.

Fenty Cheeks Out in Strawberry Dip | Laurel and Iron

First and foremost, is this Fenty Cheeks Out cream blush in Strawberry Drip ($20). It is so fantastically beautiful. It is bright and cheery. This formula is chef’s kiss. Seriously! It is a sheer yet buildable cream that must be warmed up with the finger prior to application. Once you emulsify it, it will blend on to your cheek beautifully. I haven’t had this long but I’ve used it a lot. I can’t see myself putting this down any time soon. If this color isn’t your jam, fear not, RiRi has got you with a whole shade range.

Milk Makeup Glow Oil Lip + Cheek in Astro

Milk Makeup has mastered the art of stick beauty and this Glow Oil Lip + Cheek in Astro ($15) is no exception. I love a multipurpose product that actually works in multiple ways and I love grabbing one product to make a monochromatic look. This formula is super soft and super sheer but can be built up. It gives that popsicle stain vibe that builds to flush.

Kossas Color & Light in Velvet Melon | Lauren and Iron

This Kosas Color & Light palette in Velvet Melon ($32) is a winner. If you can’t tell, I’ve put a pretty good dent in this one. I love it so much that I bought one for both my mom and my sister. If you’ve been around Laurel and Iron for a while, you know that if I buy it for my mom - that’s the ultimate stamp of approval. This coral color is just to perfect for words. The highlight is subtle and glowy. Together, they give the prettiest sun kissed flush. I can’t get enough of it. And because Kosas is a lovely company, they listened to feedback and came out with High Intensity versions of each color way to suit darker skin tones.

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Spotlight | Laurel and Iron

If you want a highlighter that can be seen from space, look no further than the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Spotlight ($38). It is stupid expensive. Okay, I get it but when I tell you that it delivers, I mean it. It’s a beautiful product that I treasure. It is a dream to work with and leaves you looking like a sweet, baby cherub. So, so pretty.

Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer in Baked | Laurel and Iron

More Milk sticks, you betcha! The Matte Bronzer in Baked ($15, mini) is the best cream bronzer that I’ve tried. It has a true matte finish without looking dull. It is a perfect shade of golden brown - not too orange, not too green. And it’s so stinking cute in this little mini size! I apply it with a duo-fiber blush brush and it blends so seemlessly and lasts all day on my slick skin.
