Glowy Wedding Guest Makeup
Ok, I want to know the honest truth. Do you cry at weddings? I do. Almost always. Even if I hardly know the couple and I’m someone’s plus one. There’s something magical about the ceremony and the ritual. Each couples’ story is different and beautiful.
You know what else I love about being a wedding guest? Getting dressed up and dancing the night away.
Today, I’m sharing my latest wedding guest makeup routine. Warning: it’s super glowy. I’m really digging the mega-glow disco ball look lately.
It all starts with a great base.
For outdoor weddings, these Coola Sun Silk Drops* offer a beautiful dewiness and SPF 30 protection.
When my skin is behaving, this light, natural coverage duo is my jam! A 50-50 mixture of the Drunk Elephant Umrba Tinte* and the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter* in shade Light 2 is absolutely perfect and photographs beautifully!
Set everything up with the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist. This stuff smells so nice and sets your makeup beautiful - especially if you use powders. Plus the nozzle generates the smoothest mist! Shake before use and get ready to glow!
The Kosas Cosmetics Color & Light Creme* duo in Velvet Melon is so up my ally I almost believe that they made this product just for me. It’s a cream product - with a coral-peach blush and a champagne highlighter. Perfection and so pretty for event makeup.
I didn’t jump on the Fenty train right away. I was intrigued but I never pulled the trigger. Then I saw this highlighter on one of my favorite Instagrammers and I needed it. NEEDED it. Rhianna, girl…You make a mean highlighter. This is Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Duo* in Lightning Dust an Fire Crystal.
It wouldn’t be a beauty post from Lauren if it didn’t include an Hourglass powder. They’re simply the best on the market. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer* in Nude Bronze Light is no exception - free of shimmer but packed with subtle glow.
This Aether Beauty Rose Quartz Crystal Gemstone* eyeshadow palette is the perfect balance of warm and cool tones. It’s great to travel with especially! But for a special event, I like a little extra punch. So, I added the Natasha Denona Cranberry Palette*.
The finishing touches are lips, brows and mascara, of course! Surprise, surprise, I’ve chosen the Bite Beauty Matte Lip Creme in Glace*. I comb through my brows with the Colourpop Brow Boss gel in Light Brown and finish my eyes with this IT Cosmetics Superhero* mascara.
Here’s the final look! I hope you enjoyed. If you re-create this look, tag me on Instagram (@laurelandiron)! What’s your wedding guest makeup vibe? Tell me all about it in the comments below!
