Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I’m mixing up something special to celebrate. Whether you’ll be hanging out a home by yourself or gathering with your gal pal’s, I’ve got the perfect drink to celebrate with!
This Chocolate Cover Cherry Martini is sweet, boozy, and supremely satisfying. And it’s starts with homemade cherry simple syrup that is sure impress your sweetheart.
Cherry Simple Syrup (makes enough for 6 drinks)
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c water
1/2 c frozen cherries
In a small sauce pan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Add cherries and reduce heat to low. Allow simmer for 15 minutes. Mash the cherries gently.
Stir occasionally.
Remove the syrup from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
Transfer the syrup to your blender and pulse.
Strain syrup and allow to cool completely before use.
You can prepare the syrup up to one week ahead of time. Store in the fridge in an airtight container.
Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini
2 oz Chocolate Cherry Bailey’s liqueur
2 oz milk of choice **
1 oz vodka
0.5 oz cherry syrup
pitted, frozen cherries for garnish (optional)
Ice
** I tried this recipe with regular milk as well as almond milk. Both worked beautifully!
In a shaker full of cubed ice, add Chocolate Cherry Bailey’s.
2. Add vodka.
3. Add milk.
4. Add cherry syrup.
5. Shake vigorously!
6. Strain into a frosted glass.
7. Garnish with frozen cherries.
8. Enjoy responsibly!!!
