My Favorite Amazon Finds
Raise your hand if you’re an Amazon Prime junkie! I certainly am. I can barely remember a time before Amazon Prime existed and what I did before I could get whatever I wanted delivered to my front door within 48 hours. It’s honestly a mystery.
Amazon is so life changing for someone like me - I work off-shifts and some weekends full time plus manage the blog and a semblance of a social life (hello friends!). I do not have time to shoot off to Target for toothpaste at the drop of a hat.
No, my lovely readers. I live and die by the (probably) communist machine that is Amazon. Sure, I don’t feel great about it - knowing that I am partaking in the death of the small business but my vitamins and favorite plantain chips arrive at regularly scheduled intervals without me doing so much as lifting a finger and I am grateful for a service that gives me just a little more time to get out there and live my life.
I left my chain gym for a local boutique fitness studio. I still shop at crammed, musky, and disjointed independent bookstores. I browse Etsy for handmade gifts every time a friend celebrates a major life event. I try but I can’t give up Amazon. If Amazon is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
I’ve tried a lot from Amazon and here are some of my favorite purchases and some of the things I buy over and over.
Body Merry Breakthrough Night Cream ($17*): Cruelty-free, Paraben-free, and unscented. This stuff is packed with great for your skin ingredients. You’ll wake up with the softest skin ever.
Reusable, Stainless Steel Straws ($8*): Save a sea turtle with this set of 8 reusable straws. It even comes with the perfect brush for cleaning. I use these every single day!
Renee Redesigns Handmade Gold Glitter Slate Coasters ($36*): I absolutely love these coasters. They are so pretty and well made. With table top protecting rubber feet, you’ll never have to worry about water glass rings on your furniture again but they’re so cute you won’t mind asking your guests to use one!
AmazonBasics Classic Blank Notebook ($9*): Nearly $10 cheaper than the original Moleskine, I use these types of notebooks all the time. I love them for gratitude journaling, blog and instagram content planning, long-term to-do lists, and jotting down the occasional brilliant idea. Unless you think the branded notebooks will give you major cool points, opt for these high quality knock offs instead
AmazonBasics iPhone Charging Cable 3ft ($5*): You know when you’re traveling and your realize you forgot your phone charger and know that you simply could not go another minute without checking Instagram? Ya, I know you’ve been there. So, you pop into a gas station or one those overpriced airport convenience stores to get a hot pink, brandless charger for 10 bucks. All seems well and good until suddenly your phone stops charging. Like Apple can tell the difference between a real and a knock off charger and sends an update to your phone so that it won’t charge anymore. Or maybe the charger is just crappy and stops working...what do I know about Apple conspiracies? The moral of the story is that I have a drawer full of off brand chargers that don’t work except these AmazonBasics ones. They are brilliant and come in several convenient lengths.
Barnana Organic Pink Himaylan Sea Salt Plantain Chips (3 pk, $11*): Yeah, I wasn’t kidding about subscribing to plantain chips. These are the best ones in the game. The price is fairly similar as compared to WholeFoods (the only retailer near me that carries them) but they are always sold out. Always. Because they’re the best. Ok. The. Best. Go get you some then make my guacamole. You’re welcome.
Solimo Melatonin Gummies ( 60 day supply, $11*): This is another one of Amazon subscriptions. I struggle big time with falling asleep and I’ve been taking melatonin for a year and a half. It’s been a game changer. I fall asleep faster and stay asleep but don’t wake up groggy. These Solimo gummies are perfect because I can take them when I’m already in bed, fighting to fall asleep. No need to get up and get a glass of water to swallow a traditional pill or capsule. (you should always talk to your doctor before starting any supplement!)
Anjou Aromatherapy Diffuser ($22*): With great features like 1, 3, and 6 hour timers plus a continuous mode and changing lights, this a great diffuser for any room in your home. It has one of the biggest water reservoirs I’ve seen and can diffuse for up to 8 hours! Check out my favorite essential oils here! *
Kindle Paperwhite E-Reader ($130*): This device was a great investment for me. I love to read but am always on the go. Being able to bring thousands of books anywhere I go is such an incredible gift. No more lugging paperbacks and hardcovers around. No more running out of reading material on long vacations. With the Kindle, basically any book is available to me wherever I can connect to wi-fi. The Paperwhite version allows you to read even in direct sunlight, unlike other devices. I’m so glad that I pulled the trigger on this one. I love it! Currently reading "The Library Book"!
Amazon Essentials Tech Stretch Short Sleeve V-Neck Shirt (2 pk, $18*): These are the best workout shirts. They have a great fit and are great quality. They run true to size. They wick sweat, are super comfortable, and dry quickly. You definitely need some! They also have tank top and crew neck versions.
I could keep going...endlessly...but I’ll stop for now. Tell me about your favorite Amazon finds in the comments below!
