How to Make Poinsettias

How to Make Poinsettias

Mimosas are great. I’m not trying to argue otherwise but come November, I’m ready for something else. Poinsettias are a holiday tradition in my household - reserved for that special time between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

They are simple, beautiful, and delicious! I’m so excited to share something that is so special to my family with all of you!

Ingredients

Per 1 glass:

2 oz dry, sparkling wine (chilled)*
1 oz cranberry juice
squeeze of fresh lime
frozen cranberries to garnish

*Brut champagne is best but a dry prosecco is will, do! And don’t go crazy here. The cranberry and lime will overpower the flavor of the wine so no need to spend big money unless you’re feeling extra fancy. For those who aren’t imbibing, swap wine for gingerale or sparkling grape juice. The kiddos will love it!

Method

  1. To clean champagne flute (get these awesome, cheap Ikea ones here!), add sparkling wine and cranberry juice.

  2. Squeeze the juice from a quarter of a lime into the glass.

  3. Add frozen cranberries for garnish.

I told you it was easy! I hope you and your family enjoy them as much as we do! They’re the perfect accompaniment to an early Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas brunch. They’re also always a hit at holiday parties!
