beauty: Grown Alchemist Polishing Facial Exfoliant review
Grown Alchemist, an Australian beauty brand, is undeniably aesthetic AF. Founded by brothers Keston and Jeremy, the brand strives to bring “Bio-compatible beauty” to the masses. With fans like Alexander Wang and Gwyneth Paltrow, this brand has major chops.
I was introduced to Grown Alchemist through the FabFitFun Winter 2019 box. In my box, I received this Polishing Facial Exfoliant with pink grapefruit and glucomannan extract, a fiber derived from Konjac root that absorbs oils and removes impurities from the skin.
Intended for daily use, this scrub is gentle and formulated to stimulate cell regeneration - part of brands philosophy that beauty should be founded in a regimen of Cleanse, Detox, and Activate.
I’ve been using this exfoliant 2-3 times a week since I received it back in November. It smells like an absolute spa-heaven- grapefruit dream. While it certainly gentle scrub, it’s efficient at removing dead skin cells and leaving your face baby soft.
Using this product is a luxury and I truly enjoy the experience. However, at $60 for 75 mL, it is certainly pricey for something that you wash off your face after 30 seconds.
I am happy to have it and will use it up but I don’t think I will repurchase based on the price tag. I know there are other physical exfoliants on the market that are more affordable. However, I am very interested in exploring more of the Grown Alchemist line. I’m glad I was introduce to this brand through the FabFitFun subscription and look forward to trying some of their serums and moisturizers in the future.
Have you tried anything from Grown Alchemist? What’s your favorite exfoliant?
